Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The rooms were cozy with sloping ceilings and a view of the sky, very quiet, and nicely appointed, although they felt colder than expected. The double windows helped block outside noise, enhancing the overall comfort of the stay. The location was perfect, facing a large plaza in the center of town, making it convenient for both first-time visitors and business travelers, with easy access to transportation options. The dining experience offered a lovely selection of local cheeses, fresh fish, and an impressive belle epoch stained glass ceiling in the restaurant. However, the breakfast was more standard than spectacular. The service was excellent, offering a variety of amenities like room service, laundry, and a welcoming drink.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the room, albeit a bit crammed and lacking airflow, was comfortable, I found the artwork a little off-putting. The location was excellent for exploring Bergen, but the lack of air conditioning and opening windows was a downside. The dining options were surprisingly varied and of quality, yet the price was a bit high for basic needs.
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Bergen, right in the city center, making it a convenient base for exploring. The rooms are modern, stylish, and clean, though the large frosted glass wall in the bathroom may lack privacy. The amenities provided, including a bar fridge, safe, and even a shoehorn, added great value. The dining options offered a delicious and plentiful experience, enhancing the stay.
